3 events in 2017

It is the primary mission of the D’Days Association to promote the benefits of design and its creators, by demonstrating the multiple fields of expression of the discipline. D’Days aims to transmit the best practice of design to reinforce its credibility, legitimacy and appeal. It is within this logic that D’Days is organizing three key events in Paris in 2017: The Graphic Design Festival, The Festival of Design D’Days and the Think Life Forum.

THE GRAPHIC DESIGN FESTIVAL PARIS

From January 11 – February 22, 2017
Main Festival period: 24 January to 5 February 2017
( co-produced with Artevia)

D’Days and Artevia are co-producing The Graphic Design Festival Paris, an entirely free event designed to showcase the diversity, richness and dynamism of this multi-faceted discipline and its eclectic actors with a programme for professionals, students, young graphic designers and the general public.

The first edition of the Graphic Design Festival will commence on 11 January 2017 with the launch of a poster campaign around Paris. The Festival programme will be split across different series of events, with the main period between 24 January – 5 February 2017 centred at the Musée des Arts décoratifs.

THE FESTIVAL OF DESIGN D’DAYS

Let’s Play – From May 2 – May 14, 2017 in Paris

12 days to celebrate design and making in Paris, the global centre of the discipline. 12 days to reunite a diverse range of actors from the world of design around a communal dynamic and energy. Exhibitions in the central nave of the Musée des Arts décoratifs, a partnership with the Biennale Révélations at the Grand Palais as well as other iconic venues in Paris, will all feature in this flagship D’Days event, assembled under the theme “Let’s Play”.

THE THINK LIFE FORUM

Autumn 2017
( co-produced with Artevia)

For 2 years, D’Days co-produced with Artevia the Think Life Forum. As prospective platform, the Forum brings together all intelligences – designers, architects, researchers, entrepreneurs, economists … to think about design, the sense of form and its capacity to take its place in a globalized world connected, faster than never.

The 3rd edition of Think Life, scheduled for autumn 2017, will take place in two stages: the Think Life Forum, with its “Think”: conferences on design and evolution of the profession and its “Share & Learn” Exhibitions and workshops. New: the Think Life Campus, will allow multidisciplinary teams to work for almost a year to develop answers to the challenges of the society of tomorrow. The work carried out in this framework will be presented in the “Share & Learn” of the Forum.
